Mrs. King was recruited by the University of Tennessee Medical Group, Head and Neck Surgery Department in 1997, where she worked as a registered nurse in the department caring for head and neck cancer patients. In 2010, she completed her master’s degree and licensure as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. She specialized in Head and Neck Cancer and general ENT.

In 2016, she opened Your ENT, an independent nurse practitioner owned and operated office. The COVID epidemic and changes in the financial aspects of healthcare made it difficult to support employees. She was collaborating with staff at Shea Clinic prior to those changes and joined Shea Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic in September 2022. She continues to work at the West Clinic in the Head and Neck Surgery Department 2-3 days per week.

She sees general ear, nose and throat issues such as sinus disease, nasal obstruction, eustachian tube dysfunction, hearing loss, tinnitus, cerumen impaction, ear infections, throat problems, hoarseness and other issues that could be traced back to the ENT system. She sees cancer patients for diagnosis and surveillance in both offices.

She is in the office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and is available for same day or next day appointments. She specializes in acute illness and work-up for referrals to the World Renown Specialist at Shea Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic.
