Repairing torn ear lobes is relatively straightforward and is done in the clinic under local anesthesia. We usually use absorbable sutures which come out on their own in about a week. You will be able to return to work on the next day, and even on the same day if you wish. We will follow you to be sure you don’t develop a hypertrophic scar or a keloid. If you do start to develop these we will inject some medication to reverse and prevent it. You can get your ear repierced in 6 weeks if you wish.
