Transtympanic perfusion of the inner ear through the round window of the
middle ear is of value in the treatment of
Meniere’s Disease,
positional vertigo,
sudden hearing loss, and
tinnitus. It is a minor surgical procedure in
which medication is injected into the ear once per day for three days in a
row. It is performed with the patient awake in the operating room in the
Surgery Center at the Shea Ear Clinic. Thousands of patients have had their
inner ear disorders successfully treated in this way over the last 15 years
at the Shea Ear Clinic.
