John R. Emmett, M.D., joined the Shea Ear Clinic in 1976. A native of Florida, he attended Georgia Tech and graduated in 1965. After graduate work at Baylor University, Dr. Emmett attended George Washington University where he was awarded his medical degree in 1970. Since joining the Shea Ear Clinic, he has performed almost 10,000 major ear operations. Dr. Emmett has earned national and international recognition, writing extensively and lecturing widely to advance the state of the art in the diagnosis and treatment of ear, hearing and balance disorders.
