New techniques for treating tinnitus include cognitive behavioral therapy, counselling, tinnitus retraining therapy, and noise-suppressing hearing aids.In addition Intratympanic perfusion with lidocaine, a procedure in which medicine is injected in the ear to help reduce the tinnitus is widely used.
